After establishing the FIT4MOM franchise in McKinney, Allen and Prosper, Leslie Cuevas has now extended the maternal workout class to Little Elm.
FIT4MOM is a program based out of California designed to give new mothers an outlet to exercise without having to leave their children, as well as to meet other mothers. Cuevas said the Little Elm location currently only offers Stroller Strides, a 60-minute total body workout for all fitness levels.
“Stroller Strides is a stroller-based fitness program designed for moms with little ones,” the program website wrote. “It's a great way to get in shape, meet other moms, and have fun with your baby all at the same time. Each 60-minute total body workout incorporates power walking, jogging, strength, toning, and fun for kids. The...more

There’s a phenomenon that’s taken over the local mommy landscape stride by stride. That’s Stroller Strides, of course, and other entire workouts just for mothers and mothers-to-be. Fit4Mom, a nationwide following, has four franchises spanning the DFW Metroplex. On any given morning, expecting women and young mothers are doing sprints, squats and stroller treks, and not just to fit into that favorite black dress. “We train muscles mothers need every day,” said Jennifer Ludlam, business manager and lead instructor for the Flower Mound/Frisco Fit4Mom franchise. “Pushing, pulling, bending and twisting.” They’re not any old workouts, either. They’re focused and regimented, for some franchises and participants a daily grind. Prenatal and postpartum specialists lead the movements, with classes individualized to particular stages of pregnancy and motherhood. Started about a decade ago in San Diego, Fit4Mom franchises operate in...more

"It's a total body workout," said Lolo Sidhu, a daily participant. "It's like boot camp - with a stroller."

The Town of Prosper’s Parks and Recreation Department is trying to help new moms get back in shape after having a baby. The program is called Stroller Strides and about 20 moms took advantage of the program on the first day, March 17.
A new offering by the Prosper Parks and Recreation Department is aimed at moms who are looking to get back in shape after having a baby, according to Julie Shivers, Recreation Services Coordinator.
“Having a baby is an incredible experience and moms are uniquely blessed to be part of that miracle,” said Julie Shrivers, the town’s recreation services coordinator. “Sometimes, though, it may take a little extra motivation to help moms get back into pre-baby shape.”
The program is being run by Leslie Cuevas of FIT4MOM.
Stroller Strides is a stroller-based fitness program designed for moms with little ones, Cuevas said.
